Way off to the South in a sea so blue
A whole pirate family lived with their crew,
In a cave on an island hardly big as your hand,
And so chuck full of treasure it burst from the sand.
Pa Pirate planned in his wicked old head
To take Ma Pirate, Willie, Tilly, and Ted,
All on a fil-i-bust-er-ing cruise;
So they manned the boat by ones and twos.
Ma sat at the tiller, and Pa at the oar,
And a pull from his arms made the jolly-boat soar.
It sped through the top of a great green wave,
And a ter-ri-ble ducking the children gave.
Yo Ho! Yo Heaver! Yo Heaver! Yo Ho!
As up the side of the brig they go.
Peering down from the rail they see
Six blood-thirsty pirates, bad as can be.
